Edison Eagles Destroy Monroe Falcons 40-14 AtHome

EDISON, NJ – James Stewart put ona scoring show, accounting for four touchdowns as the Eagles opened its seasonby stripping the feathers off the Monroe Falcons 40-14 at home Friday night.
Stewart showed his prowess,scoring on a 44-yard run in the first quarter, a 2-yard-run and a 37-yard passreception in the second and finally a 23-yard run in the third to easily put Monroe away.
Fellow Eagles quarterback JustinTurner and and Nick Yanik added a 1-yard run and 24-yard pass receptionrespectively to cap the Eagles scoring.
Turner went 10 of 13 for 155yards and receiver Keanu Reed hauled in four passes for 63 yards in the winningeffort.
Yanik brought in three catchesfor 52 total yards including the 24-yard score.
The Eagles start the season offat 1-0.
Monroe scored on two runningplays in the second and fourth quarters.
In the second, Carlton Colemanran it in from 34 yards out and Kaylon Bradley scored from the 1-yard line latein the game, with two successful extra-point kicks to account for the Falcons14 points.
